Just over the transom into Moviefone comes word that The Weinstein Company has acquired 'This Must Be the Place,' the Sean Penn-led drama that debuted at the Cannes Film Festival in May. Directed by Paolo Sorrentino, 'Place' finds Penn playing an aging rock star in search of a Nazi war criminal who killed his father. "Sorrentino is a true auteur," said TWC co-chairman Harvey Weinstein. "We were gripped by his film and are excited to share it with American audiences. Sean proves once again that he is one of the finest actors of our time." No word yet on when 'This Must Be the Place' will hit theaters. [Press Release]
