With 'The Lion King' re-release ruling the box office, Hollywood is partying like it's 1994. Which raises the question: Where the hell is Jonathan Taylor Thomas? The former teen idol -- who voiced Young Simba in 'The Lion King' -- hasn't been seen in a feature film since 1999. "He was in school at Harvard and Columbia and he took some time off," Thomas' agent told Los Angeles Times writer Amy Kaufman. "He's getting back to work. I have no comment on what he's doing now." Now you know? [LAT]
Brittany Snow has joined Anna Kendrick in the cast of 'Pitch Perfect,' a comedy about an all-girls a capella group that recruits a rookie singer in order to take on an all-boys team. Kay Cannon (an Emmy and Peabody Award winner for '30 Rock') penned the script, which Jason Moore is set to direct. Funnywoman Elizabeth Banks produces. [THR]

Screenwriter Derek Haas revealed on Twitter that he and Michael Brandt were hired to write 'Wanted 2' for Universal. Unfortunately, don't expect Angelina Jolie this time around. Haas says the sequel will be "Fox-less," which is the name of Jolie's character. Considering what happens to her in the first film, this makes lots of sense. [@popcornhaas]

Director Dito Montiel's 'Son of No One' with Channing Tatum, Katie Holmes, Tracy Morgan and Al Pacino will hit theaters via Anchor Bay on Nov. 4. [THR]

The filmmakers behind 'Paranormal Activity 3' are using VHS tapes to virally market the film at Fantastic Fest. Out on Oct. 21 -- just in time for Halloween! -- the third entry in the mega-profitable franchise is a prequel that shows events from 1988. Spooky, scary, etc. [Movieline]
