Two months after being released from prison, the West Memphis Three will make their first public appearance at the film premiere for 'Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory' in New York on Monday night at the New York Film Festival. The 'Paradise Lost' documentaries follow the trial, imprisonment and release of the group, who were accused of murdering three boys in West Memphis, Arkansas in 1993. The charges were overturned this past August after a public and celebrity outcry that claimed they were innocent.
"What a remarkable opportunity to celebrate the power of cinema by having the subjects of these films-one of whom just six weeks ago was on death row and the others locked away for the rest of their lives-on hand to meet the audience who will witness their 18-year wrongful conviction odyssey on what is sure to be a monumental occasion for everyone involved Monday evening," said the film's director, Joe Berlinger.

'Paradise Lost 3' will eventually premiere on HBO.
