You don't like Jar Jar Binks. Short of the knowledge that no one likes Jar Jar Binks, however, there has never been official vindication for 'Star Wars' fans. Jar Jar in 'Episode I' is set in stone, and -- unfortunately -- there's nothing to be done about it. (Well, almost nothing: there is always 'The Phantom Edit' -- the fan-made cut that scratches the hated character from the film entirely.) Well, for the first time there is some new hope (ding!) -- in the form of the new 'Episode I' 3D poster.
Tied to the 3D re-release of the prequel next February, the image provides solace to the 'Star Wars' geeks: there is no more Jar Jar on the poster. In fact, the picture is pretty light on characters to begin with, with only Darth Maul, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda present (as opposed to the original, which included Maul and Obi-Wan, along with Jar Jar, Qui-Gon Jinn, Anakin Skywalker, Queen Amydala, C-3PO and R2D2).

You can see the old and new posters below. 'Phantom Menace 3D' will hit the big screen on Feb. 10, 2012.
