Because Leonardo DiCaprio isn't attached and/or wanted for enough roles in Hollywood, Deadline reports that director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu wants DiCaprio for 'The Revenant,' where he'd star as a frontiersman hellbent on revenge. Inarritu also wants Sean Penn for the film, which focuses on Hugh Glass (DiCaprio), a 1820s fur trapper who gets mauled by a bear to such extremes that he can't even get transported out of the woods for help. He hires two men to stay with him (Penn would play one) -- who promptly double-cross Glass and leave him to die. Spoiler: he doesn't, and heads out on a journey of retribution. DiCaprio and Penn have only chatted with Inarritu, so nothing is set in stone; 'The Revenant,' based on the novel by Michael Punke, is set to shoot next fall.
