How big was the debut of the 'The Dark Knight Rises' trailer? It obliterated the record for iTunes trailer downloads, with a whopping 12.5 million views in its first 24 hours. That's about 2 million more than for the also-eagerly anticipated 'Avengers' trailer. (Ergo, Batman trumps the combined superpowers of Iron Man, the Hulk, Captain America and Thor.) The trailer went online Monday at 10:00 am and was soon being watched again (and again) by fans, who parsed over every enigmatic detail. The impressive 12.5 million view count includes downloads via the iTunes site and mobile apps.
We'd better just watch the trailer again since the movie doesn't open until (dammit!) July 20.
