Chaos. Explosions. A White House under siege. It's all in a day's work for Channing Tatum. And in the brand-new trailer for "White House Down," we get a sense for just how bad that day gets.

Tatum plays John Cale, a police officer who takes his daughter on a tour of the White House and finds himself in the precarious position of being the only person who can save the President (Jamie Foxx) from paramilitary invaders. We're sure he wasn't expecting that with the price of admission.

While we don't get too much in the way of story in the trailer (you have to save something for the theater, people), we do get a pretty good sense of scale; the threat appears to extend well beyond the White House. With Roland Emmerich at the helm, we weren't surprised to see explosions, but what caught us off guard was just how intense the action gets.

"White House Down" hits theaters June 28.
