A full-length trailer for "Ender's Game," the long-awaited adaptation of Orson Scott Card's sci-fi novel, is debuting May 7, but a teaser announcement gives fans a brief glimpse of footage from the movie.

Stars Harrison Ford and Asa Butterfield introduce the teaser, which shows a spaceship, the battle room, and a tattooed Ben Kingsley as Mazer Rackham.

In the movie, Butterfield's Andrew "Ender" Wiggin is sent to Battle School, where kids are training to fight in an upcoming alien invasion. Ford plays his teacher, Colonel Graff, who guides Ender as he quickly masters the battlegames. He's soon tabbed by legendary fleet commander Rackham as humanity's best hope.

"You'll be the finest commander we've ever trained," Graff tells young Ender.

"Ender's Game" hits theaters November 1.
