"Hunger Games" and "Pitch Perfect" actress Elizabeth Banks is no stranger to locking lips with ladies (look no further than her unscripted kiss with Marisa Ryan in "Wet Hot American Summer"), but she's never actually played a full-on lesbian character -- or at least not one who's out and proud.
In a recent interview with Advocate, Banks joked, "I don't think I have [played a lesbian] -- although Effie Trinket in 'The Hunger Games' might be gay. My vision of the Capitol is pansexual like ancient Rome, where everybody's doing everybody."
Despite her character's outrageous Capitol attire, Banks doubts Effie is a drag queen. "I think [author] Suzanne Collins created the character to be nurturing and mothering in her own way, so she's probably a woman," she mused. "But I definitely saw a lot of drag Effies last Halloween in West Hollywood!"
If she were to play an openly lesbian character, Banks has some famous names in mind for her same-sex lover. "Angelina Jolie is always super-hot, and Christina Hendricks is pretty ridiculous," she said. "[B]ut I think I would have a lot of fun with Emma Stone."
The mother of two, who's been married to writer Max Handelman for 10 years, would bring some experience to the table. "I've definitely made out with a few girls in my time," she teased.
