To paraphrase the most famous line in "Dazed and Confused," we keep getting older, but the movie stays the same age. A panoramic look at the last day of high school in a Texas suburb in 1976, the Richard Linklater comedy seems as fresh as it did when it was released 20 years ago (on September 24, 1993), in part because of the energy and unpredictability of a young cast of then-unknowns.
