When it comes to the two love interests in "The Hunger Games," fans chose their sides long ago. Some went with Peeta, the sweet son of a baker who might or might not be playing a long con by being sweet on Katniss. Others fell for Gale, Katniss's old buddy from home whose hobbies include hunting, smoldering, and overthrowing the government.

Do you really have to pick a side, though? What if Katniss could have Peeta and Gale?

Josh Hutcherson, who plays Peeta, chatted with Out magazine about plenty of stuff, like the anti-bullying and anti-homophobia advocacy group he co-founded, Straight But Not Narrow, which spreads the word about being an ally of LGBTQ youth.Things got a little more light-hearted when the reported asked if the three "Hunger Games" characters could settle things the old-fashioned way – with love.

Hutcherson's response was, "I know Peeta would be into it, for sure. He's very sensitive, in touch with his emotions. I think it really might solve a lot of their problems. You know what? I'm going to pitch that idea. Let's make it a - what's it called when three people are in a relationship together? A triad?" adding, "That'll go over well with Middle America."

Folks, get your fanfic-writing pens out. We're sensing a poly-flavored "50 Shades of Grey"-style knock-off coming soon.

"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" arrives in theaters on November 22, 2013.
