The first trailer for Bryan Singer's "X-Men: Days of Future Past" action flick is here, and it's got everything you could possibly want on a Tuesday morning. As per the end of "The Wolverine," Professor X (Patrick Stewart) has asked good old Logan (Hugh Jackman) to go back in time and talk some sense into young Charles Xavier (James McAvoy).
Singer gave us a few hints about the trailer yesterday, but we think he was being modest.
Tomorrow's trailer is primarily a character piece, as most of our VFX are not yet finished.- Bryan Singer (@BryanSinger) October 28, 2013
Basically, every X-Man and X-Woman from the past shows up, and then some. Ellen Page pops up as Kitty Pryde, Jennifer Lawrence gets blue for Mystique, Halle Berry whips up some heavy weather as Storm, Famke Janssen gives us some Jean Grey, Michael Fassbender shows up as young Magneto, and the wonderful Ian McKellen appears as older Magneto. Then Professor X talks to his younger self and gives him a pep talk.
Plus, we get a look at some of the action, because you know where there's a Wolverine, there's gonna be some action. And not just mutant action, but a peek at the government intrigue that's been alluded to in previous "X-Men" promos.
Are you psyched for the new "X-Men"? Get ready now with the new trailer above. "X-Men: Days of Future Past" hits theaters May 23, 2014.
