Menzel sang a slightly less bombastic version of "Let It Go" in a pre-recorded bit with Fallon and The Roots, who played along on kids' toys. It's nothing short of adorable, especially when Questlove takes out his kazoo. And it's a refreshing change for those of us who have listened to the soundtrack on repeat for the past few months, whether by choice or by demand.
Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, who wrote "Let It Go," won an Oscar for Best Original Song; their thank-you speech was equally charming. Robert Lopez is now the youngest person with an EGOT, a term coined by Philip Michael Thomas that is short for Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony. Lopez has won three Tony awards for "Avenue Q.," two Daytime Emmys for "The Wonder Pets," and a Grammy for "The Book of Mormon," all in less than 10 years.
