"Something Wicked," the last movie made by actress Brittany Murphy before her sudden death in 2009, will finally be released.
The thriller, which was shot in Eugene, Oregon, will premiere there on April 4, and will roll out to several surrounding areas in the weeks after. The film is also set to open the University of Oregon's Cinema Pacific Festival on April 23.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Something Wicked" tells the story of "a young couple embarking upon their wedding plans, but gruesome secrets from their past collide with sinister forces of the present." The film, directed by Darin Scott, co-stars Shantel VanSanten ("The Messengers"), John Robinson ("Lords of Dogtown"), and Julian Morris ("Valkyrie").
Murphy died on December 20, 2009 from pneumonia, anemia, and multiple drug intoxication. She was 32.
