Stay away from hospitals, New Beth! "The Walking Dead" Season 7 is now filming for its October Something premiere. Fans have questions about the cliffhanger, but there are plenty of other things going on, including the introduction of new communities and new survivors.

A fan asked TVLine for scoop on the new season, and the reply mentioned a casting call for two new women:

"Episode 6 will introduce two new characters who don't sound to me like anyone in particular from the comic-book series. (Correct me if I'm wrong — and we both know you will.) Naomi is a grandmotherly type who, having lost so many loved ones, is now willing to do whatever it takes not to have to bury any more. (Maybe she's being introduced to counsel Carol about the awful necessities of the post-apocalyptic world... ) On the flip side is Jennie, a sunny-side-up kinda teenager — oh, Caaarl! — who sounds a lot like Beth 2.0, 'kind, with a world-weary toughness.'"

The Spoil the Dead forum expanded on that with the full casting breakdowns:

THE WALKING DEAD, Episode #706

Location: Atlanta Area
Outside Dates: 6/29-7/11

[NAOMI] (60s, female, open to all ethnicities) Dignified, with a level-headed toughness, Naomi is a leader and grandmother whose softer edges have been scraped away by the harshness of her experiences. She's survived when so many around her haven't and accepts that she must go great lengths if she doesn't want to lose anyone else... GUEST STAR, POSSIBLE RECURRING (6/29-7/11, Possible Additional Dates: 9/30- 11/4)

[JENNIE] (18, female, open to all ethnicities) Kind, with a world-weary toughness. Great with a weapon, but doesn't want to use them if she doesn't have to. Jennie has survived the loss of most of her loved ones and makes an active choice to maintain a level of idealism and hope in the face of grief and trauma... GUEST STAR, POSSIBLE RECURRING (6/29-7/11, 8/20, Possible Additional Dates: 9/30-11/4)

It's always good to see older characters survive the zombie apocalypse, and hopefully "Naomi" (possibly a placeholder name) will be as beloved as Hershel, or at least Deanna.

"Jennie" may or may not come across as another Beth, and it's not made clear if she and Naomi are meant to be related or traveling together or what. Some fans looking way far ahead in the "Walking Dead" comic think maybe Jennie could be Magna, but that seems like a stretch. Either way, these two characters will be arriving in Episode 6 of 16, and lasting for however long anyone lasts in this world.

More official Season 7 details (and a trailer) should be coming soon via San Diego Comic-Con.
