It has been 20 years since 6-year-old JonBenét Ramsey was found dead on Christmas day in her Boulder, Colorado home. The Ramseys are back in the headlines thanks to CBS's six-hour miniseres, "The Case Of: JonBenét Ramsey," which premieres in September.

CBS just released a super-creepy trailer for the JonBenét series. It starts like a dark thriller, almost like "American Horror Story," then segues into the modern detective work being used to try and solve the case 20 years later. By the end of the 3-minute video, the trailer devolves into what looks like classic reality TV drama. It would be great if the miniseries actually shed some light on what happened to that poor little girl, but at the very least CBS seems to be hoping to capitalize on the current true crime craze, including "Serial," "The Jinx," "Making a Murderer," and the many docs and dramatizations about the O.J. Simpson trial.

"The Case Of: JonBenét Ramsey" will air two-hour episodes across three nights on CBS, starting Sunday, September 18 at 8:30 p.m., continuing on Monday, September 19 at 9 p.m., and concluding Sunday, September 25 at 8:30 p.m.
