Simone Biles already has plenty of flashy hardware, thanks to the whopping four gold medals and one bronze medal that she earned at the Rio Olympics this month in Brazil. But could a glittering mirrorball trophy be in her future, too?

That's the hope for producers of "Dancing With the Stars," who reportedly want to snag the Olympic champion for a spot in the cast of the upcoming 23rd season of the reality competition series. A source from "DWTS" told Us Weekly that Biles is the show's top choice of potential celebs to round out the list of competitors. And she's not the only athlete the series hopes to land, either.

"They would love to cast some Olympians if possible," the source told Us, adding that producers were "waiting until after the games unfolded to see which athletes stood out" before making any firm offers.

"DWTS" has a long history of inviting Olympic athletes to compete on the program, including: speed skater Apollo Anton Ohno, who took home the mirrorball trophy back in season four; figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi, who prevailed in season 6; gymnast Shawn Johnson, who came out on top in season 8 (and was the runner-up in season 15's all-star edition); gymnast Aly Raisman, who came in fourth on season 16; ice dancer Meryl Davis, who won season 18; and gymnast Nastia Liukin, who came in fourth on season 20.

Although no official talks have taken place yet, Biles has already expressed interest in giving the show a shot. Earlier this week, the gymnast told Us that participating on "DWTS" "would be so cool."

"I can't dance, but that's what it's for," Biles continued. "I don't know — we'll be so busy, we have tour, and if that happens, and I can do it, that would be amazing."

We'll see if Biles's sure-to-be-demanding schedule allows her some time off from gymnastics to give "Dancing" a try. The casting announcement for "DWTS" season 23 is expected on August 30.
