NBC's new family drama "This Is Us" made a splash when it debuted last week, with a surprising twist (SPOILERS ahead, for those who haven't watched yet) and some tear-jerking plot developments that set up some intriguing storylines for future episodes. Now, fans have a sneak peek at what lies ahead, with the first scene from the show's second episode.

The clip, premiered by Entertainment Weekly, features Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) and Rebecca (Mandy Moore) bustling about the kitchen as their three children get ready to head off to school and Jack prepares to go to work. Here, the kids are 8-year-olds (we saw their adult counterparts in the pilot, played by Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, and Justin Hartley), and they're eager to chow down on breakfast -- everyone except Kate, that is, who's given cantaloupe to eat rather than the sugary cereals that her brothers Randall and Kevin get to enjoy.

There's some noticeable tension between Jack and Rebecca, though it blows over before the clip ends. Parenting three 8-year-olds is probably pretty stressful, but their cute family cheer makes up for it a bit.

"This Is Us" continues on NBC on Tuesday at 10 p.m. EST.
