Biography
Screenwriter Carol Sobieski first made a name for herself as a writer of television scripts for shows of the '60s and '70s. During the '70s, she also penned television movies. In 1975, she wrote her first feature-film screenplay, Sunshine Part 11, in 1975. Subsequent notable screenplays from Sobieski include Honeysuckle Rose (1980), Annie (1982), and Fried Green Tomatoes (1991), her last screenplay which earned her a posthumous shared Oscar nomination. - Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
