In film, American actress Cookie Mueller was best known for the work she did as part of director John Waters' stable of regulars in films such as Pink Flamingos (1974). Mueller also worked in a few Greenwich Village independent films including Variety (1984). In addition to her film work, she performed both on and off-Broadway, and occasionally worked as an art critic and advice columnist.
