Nick Roth Biography
Biography
During his first two decades onscreen, actor
Nick Roth landed his most preeminent screen roles under the aegis of his famous father -- critically acclaimed independent filmmaker
Bobby Roth (Heartbreakers,
Rainbow Drive). The actor commenced dramatic work at the tender age of 11, with a supporting role in his dad's made-for-television feature
Naomi & Wynonna: Love Can Build a Bridge (1995). He then followed it up with increasingly prominent parts in such Roth-directed telemovies and theatrical outings as
Crossed Over (2002),
Manhood (2003), and
Brave New Girl (2004) -- in addition to occasional guest-star appearances on episodes of such prime-time series as The Shield, Commander in Chief, and
Prison Break.
Nick Roth signed for his first lead, opposite
Henry Winkler,
Bonnie Bedelia, and others, in the period coming-of-age drama
Berkeley (2005), which
Bobby Roth wrote, produced, and directed. In that film, the actor portrays Ben Sweet, a young collegiate hopelessly caught up in the social and political throes of late '60s activism.
