Biography Vanity

Born in Canada, actress/singer Vanity rose to fame through the auspices of Motown records. Beginning her film career in 1980, Vanity was seen to excellent advantage in Tanya's Island (1981, in the title role), Berry Gordy's the Last Dragon (1985) and Action Jackson (1985). In the early stages of her career, she billed herself variously as D. D. Winters and Rina Vanity (her real middle name is Katarina). In 1996, Vanity was appointed director of public relations for the Genesis Technology Group.
