The Good, the Bad and the Unforgivable
The Golden Globes have always been known as the most fun and casual of the big awards shows, thanks in part to the abundance of booze flowing throughout the evening. Worst: Frights in White Satin
Super skinny Lara Flynn Boyle arrived at the Globes in 1999 looking like she'd bought a Hollywood Glam Costume-in-a-Bag. The clingy long white satin dress, feather boa, extreme dark bob and red lips made this look an instant disaster on the red carpet.

Best: Proud Peacock
Always stunning Nicole Kidman took fashion into her own hands on the 2005 red carpet, daring to embellish her peacock blue Gucci ensemble with a brilliant plume from the dress' avian inspiration. The result? Another feather in her stylish cap.

Worst: Something's Not Right
'There's Something About Mary' funny lady Cameron Diaz might've been nominated in 1999, but she continued to provide amusement when she walked the red carpet in this floor-length floral housecoat. Too bad no one was laughing with her ...

Best: Beautiful Brown
Before Halle Berry became the first African American female to win a Best Actress Oscar in 2002 for 'Monster's Ball,' she paved the way for her history-making moment at that year's Globes (where she was also nominated) in this sepia-toned Valentino stunner.

Worst: No One's 'Idol'
Straight up, just tell us -- did notoriously nutty Paula Abdul forget which reality mega-show she's on? The '80s pop star and 'Idol' judge looked like a 'Dancing With the Stars' extra in this too-tight shredded peach spangled dress at the 2005 Globes.

Best: Lighten Up
No one sets red carpets ablaze quite like Angelina Jolie, but after nabbing headlines and a win for 'Gia' in 2000, the Golden Globes vet abandoned her usual dark look for the 2001 show in a form-fitting, tattoo-flaunting platinum satin Versace strapless gown.

Worst: White Out
Diane Keaton has always been a fashion pioneer, but this all-white Richard Tyler ensemble is out there even for her. With the height-scrunching long coat and tall boot combo, something's truly gotta give for us to praise the night's Best Comedy Actress winner.

Best: Golden Girl
Kate Hudson is a perennial red carpet favorite, always willing to push the fashion envelope and try new things. But it was her golden Atelier Versace slit-front gown at the 2002 Globes that turned her from Goldie's daughter into her own bright, shining star.

Worst: Red, White and Ew
TV personality Cynthia Garrett's daring duds at the 2002 Globes had style critics seeing stars and stripes. Her American flag wrap dress might've been a ploy to appear patriotic, but violating our nation's flag for fashion just doesn't fly.
