CLIP OF THE DAY
Trailer Premiere: 'Diminished Capacity'
Matthew Broderick and Alan Alda behold the power of the baseball card.
As if his wife continues to heat up theaters in 'Sex in the City,' Mr. Sarah Jessica Parker stars in this upcoming indie comedy (releasing July 4) that screams "Sundance." He plays a somewhat loopy comic book artist who accompanies his extremely loopy uncle (Alda) to deal a high-priced baseball card at a convention, where fanatical collectors give chase. Virginia Madsen co-stars, giving it an even more distinct 'Sideways' feel. Quoted in the trailer is our friend Erik Davis of Cinematical, who says it's "the kind of film that just leaves you with good vibes." And who doesn't love good vibes?

This film looks really good. I love Alan Alda and Matthew Broderick is a funny guy. I'm surprised Broderick hasn't been in more films because he's a really good actor. Maybe he was too, busy with his NY stage life, but I'm glad to see Broderick and Alan Alda back in films! Can't wait.
