'Alice in Wonderland' (1951)
"Disney's 'Alice in Wonderland' was much better than all the chosen Disney animated movies listed. Artistically speaking, it really is one of Disney's most creative and colorful works. Comedically speaking, it was one of Disney's most playful. Think of all those wonderful old character actors in it!" -- Flowerface

"Miyazaki captures the essence of a child's experience through a difficult time -- beautiful, frightening, fantastical, mundane, hopeful. I have to agree with a lot of the movies that were out there, both in the actual list and the ones that people here mentioned. One of my personal favorites that was not mentioned, though, is Anastasia. It took a piece of history and twisted it to make it into it's own unique story of romance, family, and the quest everybody takes through life: finding out who you really are. It also had great music (that I honestly do still listen to occasionally!!) and great animation. - Lila

What about "Quest for Camelot" in my opinion next to Peter Pan, Lion King and Prince of Egypt, one of the best!

What the heck? Alladin, by far and away one of the greatest and funniest movies ever. I was in complete SHOCK that it did not make the list. I really don't think the people who made the list have seen too many Disney movies. With all the unbelievable movies left off the list, I wonder what the qualifications were to rate the movies. Half of the movies on the list I've never even heard of. C'mon, get real, get Alladin on the list, and high on the list for that matter.

YIKES!!! What happened to Lady and the Tramp? My all time favorite movie.

The only thing worse than a modern Disney movie filled with limp buzzwords like " awesome " is some unqualified nobody's opinion of what was best. Seinfeld was best all time sit-com ? Somebodies mid-west relatives real every day life was and is better than any teevee /movee crap from the battery operated bufoons drawing a paycheck in Hollywood these days. I'm goin' back to the sixties .

Once again I will voice that HAPPY FEET was the best. Winning an Oscar aside, the detail was amazing. The (love) story was fun but the main message was preservation & being eco-freindly!

I believe this one was left off to be politically correct. It was crawling with stereotypes, much like Pocahantas.

Im glad some of these movies made the list because most of them really deserve it. However one movie that was missing that I think should have been on there was the Disney 1998 movie, Mulan. It's a really great story about a Chinese girl who changes her appearance and goes off to fight in her fathers place during war despite the consequences that action may have had. Overall its just a great movie that I really loved.
