Top 25 Most Sensational Celeb Arrests
Most Sensational Celeb Arrests
Some stars don't learn their lesson. Take Ryan O'Neal, who was just booked for drug possession (that's his new mugshot). Last year, he was nabbed for domestic abuse. Now we know why Tatum turned out the way she did. Both father and daughter landed on our list of the 25 most scandalous arrests in Hollywood history. See where we ranked them among the celebrity DUIs, drug busts, kleptomania and killings. -- By Stacy Jenel Smith and Emily Feimster
Los Angeles County Sheriffs Departmen, AP
25. Matthew Mcconaughey: Marijuana
When Texas police responded to a middle-of-the-night noise disturbance call at the actor's home in 1999, they found him naked, banging on bongos and holding pot. Though he was booked for possession of marijuana and resisting arrest, the drug charges were later dropped. Cool, dude.
Austin Police Department, AP
24. Shia LaBeouf: DUI
After a brush with the law in a Chicago Walgreens (allegedly for drunk and disorderly conduct), the up-and-comer was all systems go -- 'Indiana Jones' was a box office smash, 'Transformers 2' was filming -- when he crashed his car. The accident wasn't his fault, but LaBeouf was busted for DUI, and his hand was busted up. The injury was written into the 'Transformers' sequel so shooting could go on, but will his meteoric rise be stalled?

23. Winona Ryder: Shoplifting
Why would a multimillionaire movie star try to steal $5,500 worth of merchandise from Saks Fifth Avenue? Who knows. But that's exactly what Ryder did in 2001 (and she didn't say she was researching a role). Though she managed to avoid jail time, she was sentenced to 480 hours of community service, three years' probation and paid a fine. Her career hasn't been the same since.

22. Macaulay Culkin: Marijuana
The former child star and a pal were speeding down an Oklahoma highway in 2004 when cops pulled them over and found marijuana and Xanax. He later admitted to Larry King that he sometimes smoked pot and drank booze, but "never had a problem." He got a deferred sentence and had to pay $540.
Oklahoma County Sheriff, AP
21. Martin Lawrence: Assault
There wasn't anything funny about comedian Martin Lawrence's '90s meltdowns, which included being arrested for waving a handgun at passersby, being nabbed at the Burbank airport for carrying a loaded gun and allegedly punching a man who bumped into him on a nightclub dance floor. He certainly lived up to his 'Bad Boys' rep.

20. Lindsay Lohan: DUI
Whether she's a bad actress is a matter of opinion. But it's a fact that she's a bad driver. In addition to multiple crackups over the years, Lohan racked up two DUIs in 2007 (and had cocaine on her both times), as well as three stints in rehab.

19. Paris Hilton: DUI
The celebutante was charged with DUI in '06, pleaded out in '07 to reckless driving ... and then she made a mistake. She violated her probation by driving without a license and not registering for an alcohol-education program. The heiress sobbed her way to a 23-day stay in an L.A. jail (out of a 45-day sentence). And proved yet again that no publicity is bad publicity.

18. Nick Nolte: DUI
The actor was described as "drooling" when cops booked him for driving under the influence in 2002, and his mug shot speaks a thousand words ("blotto" comes to mind). He got three years' probation after pleading no contest and the No. 1 spot in VH1's '40 Most Shocking Celebrity Mug Shots.'

17. Ryan O'Neal: Domestic Violence
The actor's tempestuous home life erupted in violence in '07, when he was arrested for firing a handgun during a domestic dispute with his son Griffin, who allegedly attacked dear old dad with a fireplace poker. Griffin's girlfriend ended up with injuries, but neither O'Neal was charged. (And now Ryan and his youngest son, Redmond, have been booked on suspicion of narcotics possession. Oh, that wacky family.)

You vote republican because you are anti-Hollywood, have you ever heard of Ronald Reagan, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Fred Thompson, Drew Carey, Pat Sajak, Patricia Heaton, Ben Stein, Jim Belushi, The Baldwin Brothers, James Caan, Clint Eastwood, Andy Garcia, or Mel Gibson just to name a few off the top of my head?

There is no reason for Moviephone to create such an evil page as this one. Tell me, you who work at Moviephone, is your paycheck really good enough to compensate for the loss of your soul?

Apparently, this idiot doesn't know that Reagan was a Hollywood celebrity. Thinking like this clown is what got this country in the mess it's in today. Whatever happened to ignoring endorsements and looking at the issues?
