Paris Hilton Interview

Paris Hilton Interview for Repo!'

When you think of Paris Hilton, you probably think of sex tapes, the color pink and things that are hot. But in her latest, 'Repo! The Genetic Opera,' the only pink you'll see is Hilton's flesh being peeled from her face -- and not in a hot way.

In the futuristic, goth-inspired musical horror flick from the director of the 'Saw' series -- Hilton plays Amber Sweet, the heiress to an organ-financing and -repossessing mega-corporation in the not-so-distant year 2056. Amber Sweet is addicted to surgery, hooked on street drugs and completely incapable of thinking for herself (we can't do it, but feel free to insert your own Paris joke here).

Hilton dished exclusively to Moviefone about what she's really like when the cameras aren't rolling, what she sees in her future, why she thinks she'd make a good President oh, and plastic surgery and making BFFs all over the world. C'mon -- you know you're curious. -- By Maggie Furlong

    1. What made you decide to take on this role?

I just thought Amber Sweet was such a different role than I've ever been offered to play --the way she looks, the way she acts. And the whole cast, with Sarah Brightman and Paul Sorvino, and [director] Darren Bousman, who I'm a huge fan of ... I love all the 'Saw' films, so I was really excited to work with him.

    2. The movie takes place 48 years in the future -- what do you think you'll be doing in 2056?

I will be a grandma. [Laughs] With a lot of grandkids. And also just running my business and doing my empire still, and [I'll] own a lot of hotels and everything.

    3. It seems like all of your friends are settling down now -- any plans to get married or start a family soon?

I would love to. I think that definitely completes your life. Right now I'm way too busy with my work and with traveling, but eventually, one day, I would love to have my own family. Just not right now. But it's exciting just seeing everyone with their little kids and it's fun to, like, play dress up with them. I love it.

    4. There's a rumor that HBO has approached you about starring in a series -- is that true or false?

Um, that's not true. I heard about that. I'm really busy with other projects all the way through 2009 ... so I wouldn't even have time if that was true.

    5. What's happening with your MTV show, 'Paris Hilton's My New BFF'? Are you doing another season of the show?

Yeah, I actually just got back from London last night -- I was shooting 'Paris Hilton: My British Best Friend.' That was a lot of fun ... we're actually going to be finishing that this week, and some of the contestants are coming out to L.A. And then every other country is offering for me to do it, so I'll be having BFFs all around the world. [Laughs]

    6. What Hollywood actress do you aspire to be like?

I don't really aspire to be anyone, because I think I'm different than everyone. I do a lot more projects and interesting things. But I always loved Marilyn Monroe, because I thought she was the ultimate blonde. So I love her the most everywhere I go I buy Marilyn stuff. I have pictures all over my walls and when people get me gifts, I always get Marilyn Monroe gifts because they know I collect her things. I have some, like, really old photos of her that are blown up that are like one of a kind, that no one has, and I love those.

    7. Do you see yourself doing dramatic roles in the future, or just sticking to comedy?

Comedy, because I love to entertain people. Just doing 'The Simple Life,' and even 'Best Friend,' it's all about having fun and having fun with my image, and making people laugh. Like with my whole Presidential campaign. You know, I'm saying something that means something, but also I'm having a laugh at myself and my image. And I have a new music video for a song I did for my new album, called 'Paris for President.'

    8. Ah yes, your campaign. What would be the biggest fake change you would make in the country under your fake Presidency?

Painting the White House pink and making Tinkerbell the First Dog. [Also] just stopping the war and having the world be a better place. I think if I was President, I could talk the foreign countries into getting along and they would really like me. And I would throw great parties at the White House.

    9. It's perfect -- why aren't you really running?

    Maybe one day I will.
