Free Documentary of the Week: 'Under Our Skin'
Watch the disturbing truth about a growing epidemic.
In today's modern 'WebMD' world, people strive to stay informed about potential health threats more than ever before. Yet most folks would be shocked to learn about a growing disease in America whose over 200,000 cases a year are more than AIDS, West Nile Virus, and Avian Flu combined: Lyme disease.
Director Andy Abrahams Wilson spotlights six infected patients in 'Under Our Skin,' whose struggle for proper treatment is often called psychosomatic by the Infectious Diseases Society of America, an organization with ties to the health insurance industry painted suspicious.
'Under Our Skin,' a finalist for the Audience Choice Award at the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival, reveals an epidemic's worth of patients being told their symptoms are "all in their head." Watch the film in full, or snag it onto your own site, from SnagFilms.com.
