The story line is goofy and predictable, but the special effects are spectacular at times. Not sure why they spent so much time on the "love story" when there could have been more action.The premise was spread a little thin from the primitive frozen tundra village to the space alien building the Egyptian pyramids with mammoths, but it made for a nice fantasy explanation for the unexplained.A lack of knowlege of animal biomechanics irked me every time a mammoth galloped by, but aside from that, the backgrounds and effects made it worth watching.
