Without a doubt, Lee Andrews from West Philadelphia, is in the top five of all times. His smooth wonderful voice as a teenager is what I call "top shelf." To think that a young kid at the age of 15-16 could put out tunes like he did with the Hearts. One hundred years from now you will hear somesome say "hey, did you hear a guy by the name of Lee Andrews singing a song on Mars called Try Thee Impossible?"

True terror. It felt like being in a hellish nightmare. It had a good story, with several plot twists. There were some good effects too. This movie delivered much more than I expected. Just realize that It's not a slasher movie.

I think this is destined to be a classic horror flick.Cusack is so good and the scenario so bizarre that I challenge anyone to not be stunned by its seemingly endless array of horrific events.Like "Being John Malkovich" this plunges into the depths of the soul and Cusack is perfect.The little girl is a flawless haunt. Beautiful and with a career ahead of her.I could watch this over and over again just for the way in which Cusack plays it.Alone in a nightmare which we all would totally freak out in...

Really a rotten,stupid movie. The movie had promise up until the time when John Cusack's character checked into room 1408. Although Mr.Cusack and Samuel L.Jackson are fine actors,even they couldn't pull this one off. The plot was weak combined lots of noise and a feeble attempt at trying to produce special effects. This movie is a total waste of time. Save your money and go see a good movie. MWhee20835@aol.com

I just took my daughter and her friend and we thought it did the job of keeping us tense and scared. I love JOhn Cusack and Samuel Jackson, so how could it have not been great!

1408 is a very clever and twisted horror/thriller. It moves to the hotel fairly quickly and starts to deliver the scares. Then our main character is forced to relive his past in the form of flashbacks and actually is visited by dead family members. This movie will definitely make you feel claustrophobic and want our main character to get out of that room as soon as possible. The special effects in this movie are very well done. Also there are certain plot twists at the end of the movie that will be sur to suprise you but at the same time confuse you. In the end, 1408 is a tense haunted house/ghost/supernatural dark horror/thriller with some humor thanks to John Cusack. Don't miss this movie and make horror regain its audience at the movies.

I went to a special screening of 1408 the other day and was expecting to see the scariest movie of the year based on the trailers. Let me tell you the trailer was the only thing scary about this movie. Stupid story, lots of noise, and a soprano type ending,wife screams it goes off lol. Save your money and wait til it comes on HBO. So out of four stars i give it two.
