Okay, rule number one in writing a review, watch the movie all the way through before you judge.This movie took on many twists and turns that I did not foresee. My first reaction was not correct.IT TURNED OUT BETTER THAN I ORIGINALLY ANTICIPATED.

1408 is a very clever and twisted horror/thriller. It moves to the hotel fairly quickly and starts to deliver the scares. Then our main character is forced to relive his past in the form of flashbacks and actually is visited by dead family members. This movie will definitely make you feel claustrophobic and want our main character to get out of that room as soon as possible. The special effects in this movie are very well done. Also there are certain plot twists at the end of the movie that will be sur to suprise you but at the same time confuse you. In the end, 1408 is a tense haunted house/ghost/supernatural dark horror/thriller with some humor thanks to John Cusack. Don't miss this movie and make horror regain its audience at the movies.

This is a MUST SEE movie! I absolulty loved it! Its like anyones worst nightmare. Its the inescapable room from hell. You will feel clostraphobic and might want to go running out, but do not! Throughout the movie, my whole person was compleatly involved in what was going on. physically and mentally I was being challanged! It is the kind of movie that will make you tear up in fear and send chills running all the way up and down your spine! The end was perfect! The whole movie was just more than I can even really describe! All I can say is that if you are a fan of extremley bone chillingly, make you jump out of your seat movies, Please I beg you.. GO SEE THIS MOVIE.... RIGHT NOW!!

THIS MOVIE WAS THE BEST MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN. JOHN TRAVOLTA WAS REALLY FUNNY AS THE MOTHER AND CHRISTOPHER WALKEN PLAYED A GREAT PART IN THE MOVIE. THE SINGING WAS GREAT AND JUST THE WHOLE SET OF THE MOVIE. AMANDABYNES, ZAC EFFRON, QUEEN LATIFIA, AND MICHELLE PHIFFER DID AN EXCELLENT PART IN THIS MOVIE. WHEN IT COMES OUT ON DVD I AM GOING TO BUY IT BECAUSE I ABSOULETLY LOVED IT!!!!

DUMB !!!!! TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY !!Fell asleep 20 minutes into it !! How scary could it have been ??

THIS MOVIE WAS SILLY. John Cusak's over rehearsed dialogue was flat. Everyone else was unesessarily creepy or morose. The plot jumped around and eventually made no sense at all. Why was his dad there? Why did his daughter appear and turn to dust and he just wipes her away? Who was that spook in the airduct and was that a camera??? If electronics don't work in the room, how did he get wireless internet and even after it got soaked it kept working? C'mon, don't put things into the movie and then not use them!! Why did the room freeze? How did he get out? Was Sam Jackson simply a 'token' black actor? I can't see any reason for his character that couldn't have been played by Tom Arnold or Bill Paxton. Why Jackson?? If you're going to hire an actor such as him, use him! Make his part significant and appropriate to his character style. I'd rather have watched him talk about "mothe$fu@in@ this or that" ghosts than more of Cusak freaking out, pulling at his hair and over acting. His wife looked like she was late ************** during the whole movie. Bad acting. His daughter looked like Wednesday Addams. Puleeeeez! I got into the show for free and even with free popcorn and pop I still felt I paid too much.
