Well, although the movie is not really related to what happened in real life, Hollywood doesn't "water it down." The movie was very enjoyable and had a perfect pace. I was never bored. The slight suspense and fun of gambling proved for an awesome story line. In a word, the movie was fun!

so this is officially my new favorite movie. It has a great plot to it. Tough, its not too muhc like the real story or the book. They change quite a bit in it, it still is spectacular. Jim Strugess does just great in it. Hes going to make it HUGE soon, him and Aaron Yoo

I loved it. The characters, the acting, all was good. I didn't read the book, but the movie was great. Who cares if the movie strayed from the book a bit, it's not Lord of the Rings! I liked it.

While the movie steered away from the true events and the book its based on, it maintained a great sense of humor and sophistication. Don't let the critics steer you away, this is a terrific movie.

this movie was great Jude (im not good at actor's names so i just say their characters name in one of a movie. For example, from the matrix Neo will forever be his name) is a awesome actor. enough said.

So, I dont normally write reviews, but I was looking so forward to this movie with all the advertising. The movie was predictable, at times the acting was goofy. I guess I was more mad because with popcorn and all it was 40 bucks for three people and it was not worth that. I would not be disappointed if I would have rented it, but all-in-all I could have done without, I would have rather spent time cleaning my house.

not original at all, 24 yrs ago ken houston wrote about his adventures in a book called million dollar blackjack, same theme, instead of taking money from vegas it looks and feels like you took your idea from ken

this is a good movie don't let people scare you off it is fun and entertaining. I would definitelt go see again just so i can stare at Kate Bosworth even though she could put on a couple of pounds to thin but still good looking. I was disappointed in the so called sex scene that Kate said see got drunk doing and blacked out I don't know why see had to get drunk there was like 5 seconds of kissing a little shoulder showing with maybe what looked like sweat. very high schoolest I now see they just played that up to get people to come se they movie hoping to see Kate do the nasty and show soom skin I guess I fell for that but it was still a good movie.

After reading "21", I was so excited for this movie to come out and could not have been more dissapointed. The movie is nothing like the actual story which is much more compeling than what was on the screen. The brillance of the MIT students system, lifestyles, recruitment, and actions were not captured by the film and to actually call this based on a true story is a joke. Do yourself a favor and pick up the paperback for $11 instead of wasting your money on a watered down hollywood version.

Just a Hollywood rendition of a cool story of great minds minds coming together to beat the system. The story itself is good. Characters are well played and the audio and visual rock. The predictability of the movie though is somewhat disheartening. I won't tell you how the movie plays out, but the common thread that's presents itself in almost every other action/guy who came from nowhere and became really powerful and cool b/c he was an expert at something, is there. If you like predictable, fast and furious type movies, check it out.
