I think the thing people should try is to get into the character's mind and put yourself there. In real life everyone says stupid things and does stupid things and so why shouldn't the main characters behave that way. So don't worry about these people that go into a movie with a negative outlook because thats how you will view it. The two guys i went with talked during the whole movie and said it was awful and didn't make sense. But then again they never really gave it a chance when they start making fun of it in the first scene. And when we talked about inconsistencies, turns out they just weren't paying attention. Watch it for yourself and see what you think. I thought was a good movie that had a unique view of vampires. The vampires were done really well and there are parts of this movie that just stick with you after you see it.

this movie had all the potential literally set up for it already. And for some reason, it was boring. I demand they remake this movie the way it shouldve been made. Action packed with a better ending!

Fresh, interesting story...the vampires made you want to know more about them and it offered just hints, which is good. Touched upon old, Hollywood ignored aspects of vampire legends.Good stuff...Oh, and anyone who had time following the story can go watch the Bee Movie and bee happy.

There were so many holes in the plot that you had to wonder if it was written by a committee who didn't talk to each other. Sure enough... it had four writers. The premise of having thirty days of night was reduced to a gimmick. Hiding from vampires in Barrow, Alaska, for a month of 30 below temperatures when there's no electricity or heat, no way to get much in the way of food, or even take a bath or change of clothes didn't seem to enter into it. It seemed like an overnighter. Nobody even seemed to need much of a shave or new makeup. Then there's the matter of where the vampires came from and why they waited until the sun was coming up again to leave. How? Did they fly instantly into some dark place? Bury themselves underground? Poor planning. Why did Hartnett do his idiotic routine at the end when the sun was coming up anyway? Why did he use an ax when he could have grabbed a chain saw to more effect? Or used fire? Or shotgun blasts to the head? It could have been much more intelligent.

This was a good movie in that the vampires were scary, and the action intense. The story was a little implausible from the viewpoint of the time factor - there 's no way any of the people could have hid from all of the vampires for anywhere near 30 days in a small town w/o being found.

Why do directors think they must bounce the camera for action seen's? [makes my head hurt] As for this movie, good idea gone horribly wrong. Not scary at all, i laughed at the vampires not with them. Seemed like a boring game of hide and seek. Go watch the Lost Boys or Fright Night for the 10th time

I really think this is one of the best, if not the best vampire movie I've ever seen. When I think about what other vampire movies have missing, this movie has what the others lack. The vampires are actually psychotic feeders. This movie is VERY suThis is a brilliant, raw, intense not so typical vampire film. I hope to see a sequal.spenseful, edge of your seat
