Its a well made action/horror movie....I'm tired of all the Zombie movies, finally a vampire movie...Go see it! It's actually pretty scary.

This is a well-made monster movie, but definitely NOT a vampire movie. As any student of authentic vampire lore knows, vampires fear the cross (crucifix) and can only be killed in certain ways, ie, a wooden stake through the heart, running water, or exposure to sunlight. The filmmakers chose to ignore every method of destroying "vampires" other than direct sunlight. No crosses/crucifixes are used to ward off these so-called "vampires." Melissa George's character (Stella) even says at one point: "There's no such thing as vampires." Definitely not in this movie. Is the absence of crosses/crucifixes another example of Hollywood's anti-Christian bias? See the movie and decide for yourself. BTW, vampires can enter a residence only upon invitation. Another vampire convention ignored by the filmmakers. These are bloodthirsty, cannabalistic demons alright--just not vampires.

GREAT flick! The special effects were superior and the action was non-stop. One of the better quality I have seen in years. Bev Da Bronxbabe

I honestly can't remember seeing a better vampire movie than this recently. I jumped out of my seat, I bit my nails for the characters, I thought the vampires were pretty creepy. Well executed for what it's worth. I am sick of horror movies being compared on the same scale as "cinema" and trashed for it. Just say it was a great horror flick and let it be at that! of course you can't compare this to "The English Patient" but for what it is, I rat it a 95 out of 100!

Fresh, interesting story...the vampires made you want to know more about them and it offered just hints, which is good. Touched upon old, Hollywood ignored aspects of vampire legends.Good stuff...Oh, and anyone who had time following the story can go watch the Bee Movie and bee happy.

Lately all the movies are lousy. Its seems like all they do now is mass produce garbage. It's just one thoroughly uninteresting dead end story after another.

I've been a huge fan of the horror genre for most of my 60 years of life. I felt that this movie depicted vampires as they truly should be-viscious,bloodthirsty beings who have nothing but disdain for mankind. We represent nothing but food and playthings for their pleasure. Enough of the morose and self pitying creatures from "Interview With The Vampire." They're a bunch of pantywaists compared to these devils. And, as in "Aliens," one of the great horror classics of all time, what could be more claustrophobic and terrifying than being cut off from civilization in the company of brutal and immortal demons hellbent on making you their next meal. Unfortunately, "30 Days Of Night" will probably be only truly appreciated as a classic by true fans of this genre.
