This movie was one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. Critics NEVER know what they're talking about. It's like they are paid to insult good movies and praise bad ones.

May not be true to history but....What a movie! Not for the squeemish but a truly gripping movie. One of the best I have seen in a while. 5 out of 5!

Why is it so hard for Hollywood to have the honesty to let history speak for itself? This goes far beyond the maxim stated in Liberty Valance - "When legend becomes fact, print the legend." This emphasis on spectacle and the pontificating of 21st-century values and perspectives will only obscure any real understanding of this event on the part of the audience.

amazing. it was a truly epic movie and there was nothing better than watching 300 chiseled men wearing nothing but leather underwear

300 is a movie that should only be viewed by people with strong hearts and and great imaginations.A look into the past and the struggles of men with honor and the strength to fight to the death for the lives and freedom of their loved ones.A movie with love, honor, hate, deception, betrayal, laughter in the face of death, and the honor to die just to turn the tides. If you're able to imagine a time and place were the world around you is being overrun with barbarians enslaving everything and everyone, then you could imagine what you would have to do to survive. 300 takes that imagination and puts it on the screen for you, you no longer have to imagine it.

i normally do not go for this kind of film but a friend of mine showed it to me and i couldnt take my eyes off of the screen. it was excellent from the start to the end.
