A tale of 2 friends, and what one's commitment is to the other, at the cost of her own self. SLow in development, suspenseful, but lacking something at the end, when it comes to an abrupt halt.At my viewing, the theatre had 28 people. By the time it ended, there were less than 12. The message evaded much of the audience, and yet critics have acclaimed it widely.

I can see why 4 Months is so widely acclaimed. It's an emotionally charged powder-keg that deserves a permanent spot on your list of heavy-hitters. It's unique in its attempt to remain neutral on the social issues. It's realistic without falling into any of the trappings of melodramas posing as realism. It's engaging, but probably not destined to be anyone's favorite movie. Is there such a thing as too real?

A great film. Too bad Hollyeood cannot make this type of quality production. But will it make money? That is all Hollywood cares about.Michael Sweig
