Plot Summary
Crotchety Victorian businessman Ebenezer Scrooge (Alastair Sim) has no use for festivity, even at Christmas. After resentfully dismissing his timid clerk, Bob Cratchit (Mervyn Johns), so the man can spend the holiday with his loving wife (Hermione Baddeley) and family, Scrooge is swept into a nightmare. The ghost of his late partner, Jacob Marley (Michael Hordern), appears, warning that Scrooge will be visited by three more ghosts who will show the bitter man the error of his coldhearted ways.

A Christmas Eve tradition in our home for decades. We quote from the movie all year long.

It truly is the best holiday movie and yet it hasn't been shown on television for at least rwo years in my area. Only Alastair Sim's Scrooge is worth watching. I guess that I'll have to buy the Christmas classic.

The best holiday movie , yet not televised often enough...Entire cast was perfect which resulted in this being such a wonderful christmas classic..
