Critics raved about this film. EW gave it an "A". I agree the main character was an absolute Michael Cera rip-off. Also, with names like Kristin Wiig, Bill Hader and Ryan Reynolds attached to a film I was expecting a lot more from them. Their characters were little more than bit parts and unfortunately not very funny. The story lagged from the start. A film that promised 80's nostalgia was nothing but an alcohol/weed fest that was actually depressing. I had read that the film was shot in the dead of winter at a Pittsburgh amusement park and the actors actually had to chew ice to keep their breath from showing. They didn't do a very good job. The skys were grey throughout the film and at one point i actually saw the breath of one of the characters. The soundtrack was ok at best. A lot of great music came from 1987. i guess none of it was ever heard in Pittsburgh. Don't waste your time on this film in theatres or otherwise. You'll be better off staying home and watching an episode of "Law and Order SVU". You'll get more laughs.

This movie was advertised as a comedy, but was very boring! All of the "funny" parts were shown in the commercials. Save it for a netflix rental!

This coming of age film was pretty good. The acting was great and it was pretty funny. Also,as a Twilight fan, Kristen Stewart really redeemed herself. It just proves thag Twilight was not bad due to faulty actors but due to faulty directing...

I totally agree with Jetxblack, main character is a straight copy of Micheal Cera and it turned into more of a love story than comedy. Not worth it at all.

This movie was horrible. Do not go see it do not rent it get it out or your mind. This is the movie that makes you want to stop seeing movies. You see the cast you see the trailer you think awesome, you get there popcorn, hotdog, and soda ready to laugh and then all you can do is fight to not leave your seat cause you just paid $20 to get in. This gets a 0 out of 5

HORRIBLE! The previews made it seem like a comedy and there was nothing funny about it. Kristin Stewart looks like a junkie the whole way through, the lead character i a total rip off of every Michael Cera character and the plot sucked. This movie wanted to be Garden State soooo bad but failed. I can't honestly see how anyone could find this enjoyable aside from the Husker Du, Cure, and other various new wave 80's songs in the soundtrack.SO BAD!
