  • Liman keeps the action and surprises coming nonstop. OK, the end is a head-scratcher. Until then, Cruise and Blunt make dying a hugely entertaining game of chance. show more

  • They might also have called it "Groundhog Day 2," but that wouldn't have conveyed the film's martial frenzy, its fascinating intricacies or the special delights of its borderline-comic tone. show more

  • At its best, Edge of Tomorrow plays like a tripwire time-travel thriller. As it progresses, though, the built-in repetition can, and does, grow tedious. show more

Personally I loved this movie, maybe I am easy to entertain I dont know. Tom Cruise is not my favorite star , but the man has never done anything bad . He can is nothing else act his little rear off.

The film was fairly good but flawed in that it began to drag rather than being a tight, concise telling of a story. The film basically needed twenty minutes cut out. It was if they thought viewers won't get the time-looping so we better beat it into their heads. I feel the same way about many of Hollywood's recent blockbusters in that they are too long and in being so are not good storytelling. Unfortunately, the time-looping aspect became annoying simply due to being done to death rather than as in other films where the same concept was more successful. There is a very good film in there but in the hands of a different editor. Perhaps it was based on a book and the director too closely followed the book.
