Betty Hutton was a fantastic actress and song and dance girl but only got low budget films to show her stuff, except for this film. This film has its... flaws but Hutton is sparkling and bright. Full Review

Baritone Howard Keel makes an impressive Hollywood debut as Hutton's leading man. During the nonmusical scenes, Betty Hutton gives a crude and strident performance, exhausting to watch, but she belts out the songs with an appropriately rowdy energy.Full Review
