Anokhi Ada Synopsis & Summary
Synopsis
Veteran director Mehboob Khan returns to similar ground as his 1946 opus Anmol Ghadi with this romantic melodrama about a beautiful young lass with amnesia and two suitors. The first suitor is a wild free spirit who goes by the moniker Lord Sahid (Prem Adib) while the other is a bookish scholar (Surendra). Having only a scant memory of either suitor she struggles to choose one or the other, while each man in turn tries to jog her memory in a manner that would benefit him the most. This film is a great example of Khan's trademark expressionistic style. - Jonathan Crow, All Movie Guide
