This film was excellent. The visuals are of a high quality that is often missing in animation today. There are an incredible number of details present in nearly every scene of the movie, which does an excellent job of helping the viewer to lose themselves in the story. The story is a familiar one, but is presented well. If anything could have dropped my overall rating, it would be some of the

Just signed up to respond to bbwtonight's post. Doesn't sound like you've seen this movie. Neither have I, but it is obvious just from watching one trailer that this is based on the book \"The Borrowers,\" so as they are acknowledging that, it is not a copyright violation...duh. I am rating it 4-stars based on the trailer and intend to see it soon.

This movie is amazingly done by Walt

What's missing is any real menace - the signature Miyazaki freak factor that turns spirits into monsters and parents into pigs. Full Review

The Secret World of Arrietty may be too gentle and meditative to be the studio's breakout hit in this country, but it's another sweet advance, and further evidence that the Ghibli secret must soon out. Full Review
