This was a very good movie. Alot of suspense, and you basically cant get bored from this movie. I would give it 9/10. By the way Jessica Alba is really HOT.

This movie was thought provoking indeed. It was almost as if the "horror" aspect of it was a major side dish while the study of people (from the not-so-impossible bible thumper) to the trapped people exhibiting coping mechanisms varying from competent to sheep-like as a result of the breakdown of societal safety, rules and the sheer terror of a horrific death. "Put more than two people in a room and they start trying to figure out how to kill each other; that's why politics and religion were invented" couldn't be more appropriate. Except for bogus use of US Army personnel in 1970s uniforms/vehicles (Jeep??) and expecting a dumb Private First Class would know anything of significance, a suitably scary and thought-provoking movie with a truly dark ending.

A So-So B movie. Not believable, but interesting enough to hold my attention.

I've read the book several times before this and was not disappointed by its theatrical presentation. Even if one hasn't read the book or isn't familiar with the tale of Beowulf, the story is easy enough to get into and so viscerally enthralling you can't help but follow. The CG rendering in some scenes is so flawless that as the beads of sweat trickle down Beowulf's face you can almost feel the heat of battle. Beowulf is a definitely a film best seen in theaters. The 3-D experience is worth the extra money.
