Synopsis

Latvian filmmaker Aigars Grauba directs the epic war romance Baiga Vasara (Dangerous Summer). Set in the capital city of Riga, the film involves a tragic love story during the Soviet invasion of Latvia in 1940. Idealistic radio journalist Roberts (Arturs Skrastins) falls for Baltic German student Isolde (Inese Cauna), who's about to be deported. She is torn between her love for Roberts and her chance at escape for Germany with the help of Latvian foreign minister Vilhelms Munters (Uldis Dumpis).
