The opening credits for the studio were by far the best part...great 3-D imagery; it was all down hill from there though. Way too gross; Grendel was a puss dripping, slobbering cretin that oozed disgusting ear fluids...yuck. I nearly left after the first 30 minutes or so. With that said it was ok after Grendel died. Animation was ok not great, definitely can't recommend should have been rated R due to graphic violence.

I am not sure why, but my friends and I did NOT like this movie. The graphics was "ok" but the storyline was boring and a "cliche" as far as Man vs. Dragon. For such great talent, such as Anthony Hopkins, the movie was sorely lacking. Don't waste your time, and wait for it to come out on DVD.

I sure hope this movie is much better in 3D than it was in "normal" 2D mode. In 2D the CGI animation is often cheaply done and almost silly, the horses in motion for example. Best advice...see it in 3D or see something else. There's just too many distractions in 2D to really enjoy the story as intended.

Saw it in 3-D and found it incomparably well done -- perfect type of story for the CGI use -- given the action, pacing and acting demands.

What a terrible waste of time and money.I had no idea i wouold be watching ,what looked like , a preamble to a video game!!

I would not say a bad but not a great movie. The grafics were interesting but cheap. I think the the story told here was not bad. But as a cartoon did not work for me. Many of the cartoon figures appear to be direct rip off of other movies almost.

this movie is awesome. the graphics were amazing. i've never seen an animation that looked so incredibely real. don't listen to the negative people. you have to see this movie. it's worth it.
