..because it isn't like anything else I have seen in a long time. It's risky, and trashy, but I loved the music and all of the acting is just this side of over-the-top. The ending is very bittersweet, and reminded me of the end of "The Graduate", in which two people aren't really sure they should wind up together. I have to say Sam Jackson is one of my fav actors, and this is Ricci's best performance of her life. Justin? Well, pretty good really. I highly recommend this if you want to see something totally different.

Show a black man who finds a half naked whitwemgirl in his roadway, he see her beaten and abused so he takes her in then realizing her real aflection tries to heal her only to find his own. Shows one persons careing for another Grreat movie.

what's with the chain bit? the samuel jackson character didn't seem the chainemup type. other than that i really liked it. it kept a good pace. good story telling.

One of the most provocative films that I have seen in a long time. Something different! Something risky! I applaud the director and cast for taking a risk to tell such a contraversal story. I enjoyed the movie and I beg to differ with the critics that rated the movie poorly. They have been known to get it wrong!!!!! See the movie for yourself. Samuel L Jackson and Christina Ricci were great. It leaves you with something to talk about......
