Knobhead99 got it right...this was the most disgusting, disgraceful, detestful movie ever to be created. I too have only walked out of one movie...this one...in any movie I've ever seen. Who in their right mind would even THINK it was a good idea to even consider, let alone produce, this movie? Someone who deserves, or needs to be, in a straight jacket. I nearly wanted to vomit when I walked out of the theater.

The only thing I can say about this movie is that this must have been a "gime" to someone. I'm not sure who - the writer, the producer, the director - someone was given this movie as payback for something. That is the only reason I can find that this...I can't even call it a movie...that this "thing" was even allowed to exist. Forget about the cutting room floor, this movie should never have been created, it is that bad. I have walked out of two or three other movies in my life, but, this one is just so ridiculous that it is an insult to the digital celluloid that the images of this nonsense was burned into.

Obviously, "Drewshadrawy" only read the book, and never saw this piece of garbage. The only thing I can think of, that equals this crappy performance are the entire Cubs team in games 1, 2, and 3 of the NLDS.

I think this movie was interesting. One interpretation I thought of was that something removed peoples sight to sort of return them to a state of no shame and somewhat innocence as depicted by the surviving group. After all, there was people showering together, getting dressed together, walking around with no clothes, etc, and they may or may not continue since they had gone through so much together. I cant say that for the whole world, because that obviously didnt happen as you see in the third ward. In the end, I think the whole point was to give them a whole new outlook on their lives and not take one of our most basic gifts for granted. I wouldnt recommend it to everyone, just moviephiles such as myself.

I found the movie to be distubing and frightening. The actors were well played by professionals with some parts longer then others but got their points acrossed. . Although i may not want to see it again or recommand it to others, it wasnt as bad as I thought it may have been protrayed in reviews.

About 2/3 of the people in the movie theater walked out of this film, as did we. The acting was very good; Julianne Moore is always great to watch. My problem was with the story line. The original premise was very interesting which is why we chose to see it, but it did not deliver. I did not read the book but I bet it was good. The film version was beyond awful. An hour and 20 minutes and I still felt like the movie hadn't really started, I kept telling myself that in another 10 minutes the really interesting stuff was going to come. Nope, never. I now know that we left right before the gang rape scene, which I am very glad. I liked the other movie this director did, City of God, but this one... basura.

you are all ******* TROGLODYTE, INBRED, MORONS.... This film was genius and these barely readable reviews are just another example of the perils of the internet. Hence, idiots having a voice. You all just didn't get it.. The direction was masterful, the acting was perfection and the story was more real than the news on TV. Again, yer all ******* stupid..

I simply cannot describe how horrible this movie is. The way the whole film is shot is a extremely poor excuse of "art". Meaning, at some points in the movie you may be looking at extreme blurry close ups, all black or white screens, view from a insignificant fruit. Also at numerous points in the movie for about 5 minutes of a scene you could be watching it from a mirror, until the view is switched to the actual scene, which confuses the movie watcher. The plot could have been interesting, however the way it was put together made it an absolute mess. The sound clips do not fit the storyline, ex: there would be cheery music during rape scenes. Jullian Moore's character was an absolute mess, being the only one with sight she does not take it to her advantage what so ever, besides saying stupid one-liners that hint at the fact she can see. She watched people get hurt and killed when she could have easily prevented it, which only frustrates the movie watcher. Overall this movie was an absolute flop, and I feel like myself and the other 4 people in the theater should have asked for our money back.

I had a very hard time thinking straight and sleeping. This movie was sick. Not in the good way either. I don't reccommend anyone seeing it either. It was disturbing and that money wasted on the ticket could've been for an actual GOOD movie. Spread the word how sickening this movie is because it really upset me and it also made my brother mad too. I was hoping for a happy story where the find a cure maybe and all would be good. I guess not all movies end happy. :(
