Horrible Movie. Stupid story. Never explained why suddenly people went blind and then after they fight for survival why sight comes back. Maybe they wanted to tell a story of how people react as savages when they have no food, no water, no sight. Gee what a surprise that people go crazy in those circumstances. Julianne Moore's character is the only one who can see but they never even hint at why. She can see noone else can but she still lets herself get violated while she could have easily got the gun away from bad guy SINCE HE COULDN'T SEE. What a stupid stupid waste of time movie..

VERY disturbing movie. Nothing like they show in the previews. While they blind are in quarantine, they are forced to trade valuables for food to a power hungry fellow blindness victim. Then once the valuables are gone, the women must agree to be 'used' by the men of that ward in the quarantine hospital (who have now been abandoned by the military to fend for themselves, unbeknownst the the blind)... needless to say, it's not for children to see, hence it being rated R. The movie kind of just gets slow, then the ending was like....wtf? I won't even rent the DVD when it comes out, nor will I recommend the movie to anyone. Jullian Moore is awesome as always, but the movie itself is simply disturbing.
