The movie requires that you really pay close attention to the cities and the players if you are going to make sense of it in the end. It was just OK.

For Leonardo DiCaprio, I think having been in The Departed is a tough act for him to follow. Body of Lies is one of those films that has an exciting trailor and an intriguing title, but once I sat through the film, it didn't measure up to my expectations.

Excellent movie! Well acted and thought provoking. Had to laugh at review attributing Hoffman character as Democrats, DiCaprio as Republicans. I guess people see what they want to see. I just have to wonder if we saw the same movie.

Great movie that I'd see again. Not a big DiCaprio fan but first time I'm not seeing him as Jack saying,"I'm on top of the world!". lol He's actually pretty good in this movie. However I am a Crowe fan but I have to say he wasn't as good as DeCaprio.

As the critics point out, this film has a lot of political overtones relevant to post 9/11. Russel Crowe's Ed Hoffman represents the Democratic Party: Fat, dispassionate, manipulative, heartless, using people for their own gain, their 'means justify the ends' attitude. DiCaprio represents the Republican Party - doing what is best for their country, caring about the future of the people in the middle east, freeing the Afghanistans from the cruel rule of Al Qeda, and freeing Iraq from a cruel dictator who used weapons of mass destruction to kill over a million people in his own country (mostly Kurds), And our Republican soldiers fighting the evil terrorists so well depicted in the movie, rebuilding their hospitals and schools, allowing females to be educated once again, and handing out care packages to the needy, and ... oops, sorry, I'm just mimicking the critics who seem to get validation for their world from directors who make their fiction films based on the same shared worldview. Circular reasoning all around. As for the movie, DiCaprio was great, the nurse played a solid role as did Hanni the Jordanian. I love Russel Crowe movies but he was simply boring and out of place in this movie. The movie overall is ok, so I will give it three stars.

A very entertaining action/adventure story. Considering that most of the supporting actors are first timers to big time American films and that the story is quite complex, the acting really holds up well. DiCaprio's ability to sustain the necessary high energy as well as his character's complex demeanor throughout a long shooting schedule is very impressive. Clearly this all reflects very well on the director. Note to others: Remember to click on the rating stars below the text window.

DiCaprio's performance was great, while Crowe's performance was more like going through the motions. His *accent* was so annoying and distracting, it made his character's narcissism seem almost palatable over the bogus accent.
