The movie was advertised as a thriller, but there were no thrills, no tension, no excitement, some drama, and deception as potrayed by several characters. We know from the beginning that Robert Hanssen is the traitor and he gets caught and jailed. What is shown in the film is trite information leading up to Robert Hanssen's arrest. This movie could have been more interesting were the director able to reveal the psyche of Robert Hanssen as to what motivated him to become an agent and eventually turn into a traitor and knowingly cause great harm to our country and our agents. The director, clearly aware that something is missing, that he can't provide the WHY???, admits, through Hanssen, at the very end that he has no idea why Robert Hanssen did what he did? The acting was very good, but the events in the movie were trite. As a minor aside to this review, I found it odd that the director took a potshot at Kenneth Star by implying he was a deviant for looking into President Clinton's sexual affair with 23 year old White House intern Monica Lewinski (Blue Dress), but then labels Robert Hanssen as a sexual deviant for his sex fantasies about his wife and videotaping sex with her. Hollywood definitely has a double standard when it comes to morality. Finally, Catholics may view this film as somewhat anti-Catholic. We learm more about Catholicism than we do about Hanssen.

A decent movie all together .. But probably the dryest movie I've ever seen.

A good movie,but very slow no action. If you are a church goer this is a movie for you.Wait for the dvd save your money. 2 stars Were is the spying an passig of secrets.

Breach is a very good movie.I did not care that it did not have a lot of action.Though I thought they should have showed the live footage at the end.Overall it was great.

Just the right amount of drama and suspense. Good acting, empathetic characters. So glad we got to see it!

A very taut and intelligent espionage movie. For those looking for blood, gore, obscene language and someone getting their head blow off every other minute, look elsewhere or.....bring out your CD of "The Departed". However, if you are looking for an intelligent movie with reality and character, I highly recommend this smart well directed real spy thriller.
